AvaSpec-ULS-TEC | SensLine
The AvaSpec-ULS TEC spectrometers are the newest spectrometers in the SensLine, where the CCD detector is mounted on a newly designed three-stage Peltier cooling device. This Peltier cooling element can reduce the temperature of the CCD chip by -35 °C, improving the dark baseline and PRNU level by a significant factor. As an additional benefit from the cooling, the dark noise is reduced by a factor of 2-3. Apart from the benefit of an ultra low straylight optical bench, the size of the ULS-TEC is reduced with more than 35% versus the previous TEC spectrometers.
The above features enable the AvaSpec-ULS TEC to be implemented in low light-level applications, such as fluorescence and Raman measurements, where integration times of more than 5 seconds are needed...
The AvaSpec-ULS TEC can be delivered with 2 different TE cooled detector arrays with (2048L / 3648 pixels) as 1- or 2-channel instrument and has all the standard options, gratings and specifications the standard AvaSpec has.

Introduction - Store to RAM 
This application requires an AvaSpec-USB2 spectrometer, with firmware version 0.20 or later. A firmware upgrade utility can be downloaded from our website. As the application is rather demanding on your computer, it is advisable to use a recent model PC with good graphics performance, preferably with a dedicated graphics card.
AvaSoft Store To Ram allows you to measure a fixed amount of scans as fast as possible, without the overhead of USB communications. The scans are stored in the internal memory of the AS5216, and the results are only sent to the computer after the last measurement has been made. You can, for example, store as much as 19784 full pixel scans with the AvaSpec-128, which has 128 pixels and a fastest integration cycle of 0.1 msec. By limiting the wavelength range in the measurement (‘Setup’, ‘Wavelength Calibration Coefficients’, change the ‘Start at’ and ‘Stop at’ fields) you can extend the number of scans to a maximum of 65504 scans.
