We seek a talented and experienced Lead Electronics Engineer to join our dynamic R&D team. As the Lead Electronics Engineer, you will drive the electronic design and development efforts for our next-generation spectrometer systems. You will lead a team of electronics engineers, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the electronic hardware design and development activities for spectrometer systems from concept to production, focusing on PCB design, architecture, and validation
• Architect and design analog and digital circuits, including signal conditioning, data acquisition, and control systems
• Develop and optimize PCB layouts for performance, reliability, and manufacturability
• Utilize your expertise in Altium for schematic capture and PCB layout
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate electronic systems into the overall product architecture
• Demonstrate proficiency in VHDL programming for FPGAs to achieve optimized performance and functionality
• Drive the implementation of best practices for EMC compliance
• Apply Agile methodologies to manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables effectively
• Provide technical guidance and lead and motivate an engineering team to achieve project objectives

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Brings at least five years of proven experience in electronic system design and development, strongly emphasizing PCB design, architecture, and validation
• Proficiency in Altium for schematic capture and PCB layout is a must
• Knowledge of VDL (Virtual Design Lab) for virtual prototyping is preferred
• Knowledge of electronic product regulatory standards and compliance requirements (e.g., EMC, safety) is preferred
• Proficient in VHDL programming for FPGAs to achieve optimized performance and functionality
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management is desired
• Possesses strong teamwork and communication skills with a hands-on and proactive approach
• Demonstrates proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
• Familiarity with spectrometer principles and optical instrumentation is a plus
