Each holiday season, Avantes North America selects a charity or worthy cause to support. This year we supported a program run by the Mile High United Way.

In 1887, members of the Denver community, including Frances Wisebart Jacobs, the wife of a prominent Denver businessman, and local religious leaders collectively started an organization that would go on to become the nation's first chapter United Way. They came together from humble beginnings as like-minded people with a goal to make Denver a better place for all its citizens. Today, United Way and its efforts span across the United States and into 40 other countries and territories helping many people in need. Instead of measuring their help in terms of fundraising, they now measure their impact in lives helped. To date, United Way has helped the lives of over 61 million

Many families struggle to provide their children with gifts during the holidays. Mile High United way recognized this need and rallied the community to donate gifts for those families and held a community holiday party on December 8th. During the event families in need picked gifts for their children while the children enjoyed crafts and cupcake and cookie decorating.

Our Impact

Avantes donated more than 40 gifts ranging from dolls and toy cars to STEM toys. As a team, we came together to pick out gifts we felt children would be happy to unwrap. It gives us so much joy to know that our gifts will go to making so many ava giving 3children happy this holiday season and making time with family even more special. Some members of the Avantes team even went a step further and volunteered their own time to help make the United Way holiday event a success.

Avantes started as a company with the mission to enrich and prolong the lives of humans throughout the world. With that mission in mind, we are constantly looking for ways to enact our vision. We can’t think of a better way than putting a smile on the faces of children and their families.
