Assignment
As a part of Nynomic group, Avantes are committed to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The development of sustainable products and innovative technological solutions are integral parts of our culture. To provide long term sustainable solution we start a project together with the ThermoPlastic composites Research Center (TPRC) to develop a new sustainable optical bench which can significantly reduce its CO2 footprint.
Your goal is to provide an adhesive solution in terms of composite surface pretreatment to bond optical components and the EMC protective layer.
Your work will consist of the manufacturing the composite substrate (injection molded plate or consolidation composite laminate), preparing the material surface for adhesion, and mechanical evaluation of the adhesion between substrate and glue/coating (pull off test, single lap shear).
You will be working at TPRC. And this assignment can be either an internship or part of a master thesis.
