As LASER World of Photonics 2025 wraps up in Munich, we at Avantes look back on a vibrant and successful week filled with innovation, engaging conversations, and exciting developments. We were thrilled to participate in this inspiring event this year, and to share our booth with our Nynomic members: Tec5, art photonics, NLIR, and Sensortherm.
For those who weren’t able to visit us at the show — or if you’d simply like to relive the highlights — here’s a quick recap of what we brought to the floor this year.
Product Launch: NIR Enhanced Spectrometers
One of the highlights for us this year was the official release of our NIR Enhanced spectrometers. Designed to deliver improved performance in the near-infrared range, these spectrometers attracted strong interest from visitors looking for reliable solutions for challenging applications such as process monitoring, biomedical research, and materials analysis.
Live Demonstrations:
Our booth featured two new live demonstrations that caught the eye of many attendees throughout the week:
Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS)
With this demo, we showcased the capabilities of our NEXOS Spectrometers within a LIBS setup that can be found in applications such as metal recycling and sorting.
Thin Film Measurement
We showcased our capabilities in non-destructive optical thickness measurements, demonstrating how our VARIUS spectrometer provides fast, accurate results.

Connecting with the community
Beyond the technology, the opportunity to connect made this event memorable. Our team enjoyed welcoming visitors to our booth and hearing about the wide range of exciting applications, research projects, and technical challenges being tackled worldwide. These conversations continue to inspire us and help shape our product innovations for the future.
We want to thank everyone who stopped by, asked questions, shared ideas, and made this event memorable. If you haven’t had the chance to meet us in Munich or would like to continue the conversation, feel free to contact us!
