Assignment
Spectrometer performance is currently verified using standardized test procedures. These tests are performed manually, and test reports are created by engineers, which is time-consuming and prone to human error.
The goal of this internship is to develop a software solution that automates the execution of spectrometer performance tests, controls peripheral equipment, processes measurement data, and generates structured test reports.
Objective
- Develop software to automate spectrometer performance measurements
- Interface with spectrometers and external test equipment
- Process and analyze measurement data
- Automatically generate standardized test reports
- Evaluate the impact of automation on testing time and efficiency
Scope of Assignment:
During this internship, you will:
- Study the current manual test procedures and reporting workflow
- Design and implement a software framework for automated testing
- Control spectrometers and peripheral devices via suitable interfaces
- Implement data processing and visualization functions
- Generate structured test reports
- Compare manual versus automated testing workflows
We are looking for:
We are looking for an enthusiastic HBO or WO student with a background in:
- Bachelor or Master student in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Programming skills (e.g., Python, C/C++, MATLAB, or similar)
- Interest in instrumentation, automation, and software engineering
